Olympus — dining table
Where the clouds touch the peaks, where the aroma of ambrosia and honey spreads, the great Greek gods feast, yielding to human emotions and ease. From under the veil of heaven, they observe the routine, directing the destinies and the passage of time. To climb the forbidden slopes of Olympus to them is the secret desire of everyone. Every year, thousands of tourists and pilgrims go to the top to «touch» the divine lightnings of Zeus, the spears of warrior Athena or to catch the love charm of Aphrodite. They are looking for a sense of greatness there, a chance to see the world through the eyes of the gods and to inhale a part of their power.
To sit at the same table with God, as if to resemble him, to stand on equal footing. It is about respect, trust, gratitude. It's about the possibility of new discoveries and experiences: tipping over a cup of nectar, biting into a juicy grapeberry, and then another one, philosophizing as the Greeks know how.
It's good on Olympus, there is always greatness, a feast for a feast. And it's even better to have Olympus at home and arrange decent dinner that would be the envy of the Greek gods.
Our table «Olympus» is
primarily about equality. Made of wild olive, it symbolizes not only the
Mediterranean warmed by the sun, it means of peace, joy, well-being,
immortality. Its relief edges are like the slopes of a sacred mountain,
which you so want to conquer, and the «honey river» is an invitation to
come in and argue about who was right, Aristotle or Plato.
