Epoxy Wood Desks

How to choose the right epoxy desk?

Epoxy desks have become increasingly popular due to their unique appearance and durability. However, with so many options available, it can be challenging to choose the right one for your space. Here are five tips to help you make the best decision when selecting an epoxy desk:

Consider the size and shape of the desk. Epoxy desks come in various shapes and sizes, from rectangular to circular, and can be customized to fit your space. Consider the size of your room and how much space you need to work comfortably. Also, think about the shape of the desk and how it will fit with your existing interior. The last important thing that you should take care about is the height of the table. The height can vary from 690 mm – 790 mm, depending on your height and the size of the chair.

Decide on the style and design. Epoxy desks come in different styles and designs, ranging from minimalistic to fancy. Think about the ratio of wood to epoxy. You want the epoxy to be the dominant element in your desk or the wood. You should have a clear understanding of what desk can match your personal style and complement the rest of the room or office. If you have problems with this part, then we will be happy to assist you with this.

Consider the cost. Epoxy desks can vary in price depending on their size, materials, and customization options. Decide on a budget and look for a desk that fits within your price range.

Materials we use to craft our epoxy desks

At Kochut, we take pride in the quality and safety of our epoxy desks. Here are the materials we use to craft our desks:

Wood. We work with classic species such as walnut, oak, and ash, as well as exclusive ones like California maple and elm. We categorically do not use chipboard, MDF, or fiberboard, as they contain high levels of toxic glue that can harm the lungs. Instead, we use only solid wood in our arsenal..

Epoxy resin. We use only certified epoxy that is safe for humans. Thanks to our experience, we can produce almost any color of epoxy.

Metal. In most cases, we use metal for the legs of the desks. But for some projects it could be wood + epoxy resin, or solid wood only.

Oil-wax and polyurethane varnish. We want our desks to serve you for years to come, which is why we cover the tabletops with a protective coating that shields them from environmental damage. If we create a desk entirely from solid wood, we use oil-wax. If the tabletop is made of a slice and filled with epoxy, we use polyurethane varnish.
